Privacy Policies/Terms and Conditions
Welcome to RateMyShows. We are very pleased you are trying out the system.
These are the current 'Privacy Policies/Terms and Conditions'. If we change them in the future, you will be asked to 'Accept' them at that time.
Privacy Policies
1. Your data is stored on the internal storage of your device. You may be asked by the operating system for permission to store this data. Your data including an optional Name and Email Address are encrypted.
2. The App maintains your data on your device and does not sell or give away your data.
3. We do not publish ads and knowingly allow any information to be gathered by any software provider, except that the fact that you loaded the App is known to Google or Apple and entities that they might allow to know that information.
4. We do not access other App information on your device such as "Contact Lists" or "Calendars". The only "Permission" that the App requests is for the use of your "Storage Device" and for the use of your internal "email" facility so that you can send backups and listings to other devices.
5. We provide an ability to send listings of your shows attached to an email in txt format so that you can print the list if you want to. Those listings are available to anyone to whom you share the emails.
6. We maintain your Name in order to put your name on listings. We maintain an email address in order to expedite the sending of the listings and in order to send your encrypted database to another device for backup purposes. The Name is optional and the email address can be keyed in when you want to send a listing or backup and will not be saved.
7. We provide you with a password capability so you can restrict entry to the system. Use of this is optional.
8. If you choose to 'Sync' your Shows to two or more devices, we do send each update to a database on our server. When the other devices have read that updated Show, we delete that record from the server.
Terms and Conditions.
1. You agree that the information you enter on your shows is strictly your opinion as to ratings and comments and any liability for that opinion will be your responsibility and not that of 'RateMyShows LLC'.
2. The information you enter on your shows is stored in your device. You are free to use our "Backup" facility or use a "cloud" backup provided by your device vendor. You agree that it is your responsibility to use one of these methods to back up your data. Failure to do so could result in the loss of your data and you agree that 'RateMyShows LLC' is not responsible for that loss.
3. You will not re-sell or give away the 'RateMyShows' App.
4. We provide a password capability to restrict access to your data. You agree that should you not use the password capability, 'RateMyShows LLC' is not responsible for any unauthorized access.
5. Should you sign up and pay for the RateMyShows annual Premium Subscription in the Google Play Store:
a. You understand that if you decide you do not want to continue the Premium Subscription, that neither the Google Play Store nor RateMyShows, LLC will reimburse your payment. Instead the Google Play Store policy is that the subscription benefits are available to you until the end of your subscription period.
b. You further understand that if you want to discontinue the subscription for the following year that you must cancel the subscription in the Google Play Store before the end of your subscription year, otherwise the Google 'auto renewal' will automatically renew your subscription.
